Program
Discover Epernay
Enjoy a beautiful walk along the Avenue de Champagne. And why not wander around the shopping area, where you’ll find a variety of gastronomic delicatessens and cute boutiques. Epernay also hits the culinary spot. The local brasseries and top-notch restaurants are ready to delight you with delicious dishes and superb champagnes. The Champagne region is also home to the special ‘Route Touristique’, designated by road signs. An ideal way to explore the region while enjoying the endless vineyard views.
Visit the famous Avenue de Champagne
The Avenue de Champagne is the most famous street in Champagne. The avenue is a stately, broad street, ideal for a relaxing stroll. In addition to its pretty ambience, you’ll also find the beautiful headquarters of large champagne houses such as Moët et Chandon, Laurent-Perrier, Pol Roger and De Venoge. A must-see in the historic centre of Champagne!
Visit to a small champagne producer
During a weekend in Epernay, you’ll also get to know the small champagne producers. In the surrounding villages, you can visit local producers, where champagne has often been in the family for generations. In a fun, informal way, you’ll learn more about the production process, its characteristics and particularities. To round off your visit, you can taste several of the house’s special champagnes. This is a completely different experience to visiting a large champagne house, and the prices are often a touch lower.
Visit to a large champagne house
You won’t find as many large and famous champagne houses anywhere else but Epernay. A visit to a large champagne house is highly recommended for a grand impression of the world of champagne. Get ready for an impressive experience!
A visit to Reims
Together, Reims and Epernay are the most famous places in Champagne. In addition to its numerous restaurants and champagne bars, Reims is a historic city with many enticing sights. The city even forms part of the cultural heritage of UNESCO! In Reims, we absolutely recommend a visit to Notre Dame cathedral. Reims is also home to a number of museums: Reims Museum of Fine Arts, Foujita Chapel, Saint Remi Museum, Museum de la Reddition (WWII surrender), Fort de la Pompelle, Planetarium and Palace du Tau (archiepiscopal palace).
