Habits de Lumière, the Champagneregion at it’s best!

This is the most popular light festival and champagne event organized in Champagne, in Epernay! On the eve of Christmas and New Year’s, this tasteful and colorful festival is presented. For three days, Epernay is bursting with light spectacles, amazing theater, delicious food, and plenty of champagne.

Enjoying Epernay

The exclusive champagne houses on the Avenue de Champagne open their doors only during this festival so that you can enjoy champagne tastings and appetizers. This way, you can sample many different champagnes!

The city celebrates its culinary arts and cultural heritage. In addition to the festivities on the Avenue de Champagne, you can also enjoy ‘Habits de Saveurs’, a classic car parade, and much more!
‘Habits de Saveurs’ is a festival of taste where visitors (including children) are treated to local specialties served by various chefs from the region. In the evening, the festivities continue with a theatrical parade and a light show.

Theatre and light spectacles in Epernay

During the evenings of the Habits de Lumière festival weekend, enjoy theatrical street performances, beautiful parades and enchanting light shows. The festival grows in popularity each year, both among locals as well as visitors to the city, and each year brings new surprises and more amazing shows. An experience you’ll long remember!

Visit the famous Avenue de Champagne

The Avenue de Champagne is the most famous street in Epernay. Epernay is considered the historic centre of Champagne and the ideal location for a grand champagne avenue. The avenue itself is a picturesque spot for a stroll, as well as the location of the magnificent main buildings of large champagne houses such as Moët et Chandon and Laurent-Perrier. A must-see in Champagne!

Visit a small champagne producer

During a weekend away for Habits de Lumière, you’ll also visit a small, independent champagne producer for an English-language tour. The producers tell you all about their vineyards, the grape varietals they grow and of course their cuvées. You’ll get to know the entire production process, from grape pressing to bottling. And of course, your tour is not complete without sampling the champagnes!

Visit a famous champagne house

In addition to the independent champagne producer, you will also visit a famous champagne house. Here too, you’ll enjoy a tour complete with tasting. You’ll soon notice that this is a completely different experience to visiting the small champagne producer.
