Program

Visit Reims and the Notre Dame

Reims is the main city in the Champagne region with a rich history and as top attraction, the Roman cathedral of Notre Dame. Visit the 800-year-old cathedral where numerous kings have been crowned and European heads of state are still received. The cathedral is one of the cultural highlights of the region and an absolute must-see! And after your visit, explore the beautiful surrounding area with a guide.

Visit Epernay and the famous Avenue de Champagne

The Avenue de Champagne is a famous avenue in the town of Epernay. Epernay is considered the historical centre of Champagne and the ideal place for a grand, main street of champagne. The avenue itself is a picturesque place for a stroll, as well as the location of impressive large champagne houses such as Moët et Chandon and Laurent-Perrier, as well as a number of excellent champagne bars. A must-see in Champagne!

Visit a small champagne producer

During an incentive trip, you can visit a small, independent champagne producer, where you’ll enjoy an English-language tour. The producers will tell you all about their vineyards, the grape varietals they produce and, of course, their cuvées. You’ll get to know the entire process of champagne production, from grape pressing to bottling. Naturally, the tour is not complete without tasting the champagnes!

Visit a famous champagne house

In addition to the independent champagne producer, we also recommend visiting a famous champagne house. Enjoy a tour, and afterwards sample their champagnes. You’ll quickly realise this is a completely different experience to the small champagne house.

Excursion to Palais du Tau in Reims

Interested in history and culture? The magnificent Palais du Tau is also located in Reims. Together with the Notre Dame cathedral, this archiepiscopal palace has been on the UNSECO World Heritage list since 1991. Its construction dates from the 15th century: it was built between 1498 and 1509 and later partially reconstructed in 1675. The French kings who were crowned in the cathedral stayed in the palace during the coronation festivities. In short, definitely worth a visit, and with an audio guide you’ll have access to all the details of this historic place!
